Service Request

Use this form for routine maintenance, checks and follow-up visits on refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment. For urgent breakdowns, please phone the team so the matter can be handled faster.

What this service request is for

This page is for non-urgent work only. Use it when you need planned maintenance, a routine check, a follow-up visit after a fault, or a service on equipment that is still working but needs attention. It suits cold rooms, freezer rooms, display chillers and commercial or industrial air-conditioning across Durban and the KZN coast.

If a unit has stopped completely, temperatures are rising fast, or you have a product risk situation, do not wait for this request to be processed. Phone the office and tell us what is happening, where the unit is and how long it has been down. That helps us decide whether the call needs same-day attention.

Before you send the request

A complete request saves time and usually gets the right technician to the right site first time. Please have the basic details ready so we can plan the visit, check stock if needed, and confirm access arrangements for your premises.

  • Site name and suburb, for example Glen Anil, Durban North, Umhlanga, Pinetown, Ballito or the South Coast
  • Equipment type, such as cold room, freezer room, display chiller or split air-conditioner
  • Unit size, temperature range, or room usage if known
  • What the issue is, when it started, and whether it is getting worse
  • Any recent power cuts, tripped breakers, water leaks, strange noises or frost build-up
  • Preferred visit time and any site rules, access codes or safety requirements

If you manage a busy store, factory or kitchen, mention trading hours and when staff can give access. In coastal areas humidity, salt air and frequent power interruptions can affect performance, so small details help us work out what may be behind the fault.

How to log the request

Send the request to the service team with your company name, contact person and the equipment details. If you are not sure about the model or capacity, give a clear description and one of our team will guide the next step. Photos are useful when there is icing, corrosion, a damaged thermostat, water around the unit or a visible electrical issue.

  • State whether it is planned maintenance or a follow-up visit
  • List all units that need attention in one request if they are on the same site
  • Include any previous repair notes or reference numbers
  • Tell us if there are temperature logging records or compliance checks that need to be reviewed

Once the request is received, it is reviewed by the operations team and assigned according to the job type, location and urgency. For example, a freezer room in Ballito with repeated defrost problems may need different scheduling to an office aircon service in Pinetown.

What happens after we receive it

After review, the service team will contact you to confirm the request, ask for any missing information and arrange a suitable time. If parts or specialised access may be needed, we will flag that early so the visit is not delayed. For larger sites, we may also group similar work together to reduce downtime and keep costs sensible.

The technician or supervisor assigned to the job will arrive with the details on hand and carry out the required checks. That can include cleaning, pressure checks, leak detection, electrical fault finding, temperature logging review, thermostat testing or general equipment inspection. Where a further repair is needed, you will get a clear explanation of what was found and what should happen next.

Routine maintenance we can schedule

Many issues start small. A blocked drain, a dirty coil or a weak electrical connection can turn into product loss or a failed unit if it is left too long. Planned maintenance is the best way to keep commercial equipment steady through load shedding, high summer temperatures and the damp conditions common along the coast.

  • Cold room servicing and freezer servicing
  • Display chiller servicing for stores and hospitality sites
  • Aircon maintenance for offices, shops and plant rooms
  • Leak detection and gas-related checks
  • Electrical fault finding on control and power components
  • Temperature logging and compliance checks for critical sites

If you already have a service contract in place, use this request for follow-up visits or routine work that falls within your agreement. If you do not have one, we can still attend on a once-off basis and advise on a sensible service plan for your operation.

Sites we cover regularly

We work from Glen Anil and service customers across Durban North, Umhlanga, Pinetown, Ballito and the South Coast. We also attend commercial and industrial premises that need regular attention to refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment in food storage, retail, manufacturing and office settings.

If your site has strict municipal or building rules, mention them up front. This includes loading bay access, working hours, permit requirements, out-of-hours visits and any health and safety induction needed before the technician starts. The more we know beforehand, the smoother the visit.

Need help deciding between service and breakdown

If the system is still running but not performing as it should, a service request is usually the right place to start. If you have warm product, a tripped circuit, a noisy compressor, or no cooling at all, treat it as a breakdown and call in straight away. That gives us a chance to move it up the queue and get eyes on the problem sooner.

For non-urgent attention, this page is the cleanest way to get your job into the system. Send the request with the facts you have, and the team will take it from there.

Questions we get asked

Can I use this form for a failed cold room or freezer room?

If the unit has failed, call in as a breakdown rather than waiting on a non-urgent service request. This helps protect stock and speed up the response.

What details should I include for an air-conditioning service?

Include the site address, room or office location, number of units, the problem noticed, and whether the work is routine maintenance or a follow-up visit.

Do you cover service requests outside Durban?

Yes. We regularly attend sites in Glen Anil, Durban North, Umhlanga, Pinetown, Ballito and the South Coast, with work planned across the KZN coast.
